Speech-language services encompass a range of needs, from evaluating and treating speech and language disorders to providing support for developing communication skills. Here’s an overview of the types of services offered:

• Speech and Language Assessment: Comprehensive evaluation of speech, language, and communication skills to identify disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Screenings for preschools and daycares: Quick evaluations to determine if further, more in-depth assessment is needed.

• Articulation Therapy: Focuses on improving the clarity of speech and correcting speech sound errors.
• Language Therapy: Addresses difficulties with understanding and using language, encompassing both expressive (speaking) and receptive (understanding) aspects of language.
• Fluency Therapy: Targets issues like stuttering and other disruptions in the flow of speech.

• Early Intervention Services are designed to address speech and language delays in young children as early as possible.
• Vendor of North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) for ages 0-36 months, providing in-home early intervention speech/language assessments and therapy services to regional center consumers. 
• Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is an assessment conducted by a qualified professional who is not employed by the school district or educational institution responsible for the student's education. This type of evaluation is often requested by parents or guardians when they disagree with the results of an evaluation conducted by the school or have concerns about their child's educational needs. 
• School Contracting is an agreement between schools (either public or charter) and independent professionals or private practices to provide specialized services that the school does not have in-house.
• Feeding Evaluation is a comprehensive assessment to identify oral-motor, sensory, behavioral, and swallowing factors impacting a child's feeding skills and to develop an individualized treatment plan.
• Feeding Therapy is an individualized treatment to improve feeding skills, food acceptance, oral-motor function, and safe eating while coaching caregivers to support progress at home.
• Hanen Certified on the More Than Words Program, the parent will start by learning how to understand their child’s communication better and how to identify the things that interest them. You then learn how to use that knowledge during everyday moments with your child to encourage longer interactions, support your child’s understanding and social communication, and help both you and your child have more fun together. This is faciliated by a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and can be done in a small group setting or individually. Contact the office if you would like more information about this program that has been proven to support parents with autistic children and those children who demonstrate difficulties with social communiation skills with others. The office is also planning to have an informational session via teleconference about what the More Than Words Program is all about and how it can help your child.

• Home Programs: Custom-designed exercises and activities for clients to practice outside of therapy sessions.

• La Jannelle Smith, M.S., CCC-SLP is SOS trained.  An SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Trained Feeding Therapist is a clinician who has completed specialized training in the SOS Approach to Feeding®, an evidence-informed, multidisciplinary program designed to assess and treat children with feeding and eating difficulties. Using a child-led, play-based approach, the therapist helps children gradually develop comfort with new foods by progressing through the "Steps to Eating," while addressing sensory processing, oral-motor skills, medical, nutritional, and behavioral factors that may impact feeding. The therapist also partners closely with caregivers to provide education and strategies that support successful mealtimes and promote carryover at home.

• Do you accept insurance? Yes, we are currently in-network with Cigna-CA, UnitedHealthcare-Surest, UnitedHealthcare-UMR, UnitedHealthcare-CA, and Anthem Blue Cross through Beaming Health. We will be accepting Tricare and Blue Shield of California in the near future.  
• Do you provide in-home and virtual services? Yes, we do. 
• Do you provide in-home services, or are the services clinic-based for early intervention clients? Yes, we provide only in-home services for our early intervention clients at this time. 
• Do you accept regional center clients? Yes, we do, but only for the ages of 0-36 months (0-3 years old).
• Are all of your services provided in-home or in-clinic? At this time, all of our services are provided in-home.
